大阪では初となるという、長沢芦雪展。
2017年に名古屋で行われた回顧展以来となる、大規模な長沢芦雪の展覧会だった。
串本の無量寺にある龍図襖と虎図襖。名古屋展でも展示されていたが、久しぶりの再会となった。
昔、この2つの絵を見るために串本町を訪れたことを思い出した。
長沢芦雪の代表作とも言える、愛らしい子犬の絵も何点か展示されていた。
師匠の円山応挙の子犬図と並んで展示されていたので、その違いがよくわかる。
あまりに完璧に”カワイイ”応挙の子犬に対して、芦雪は少しバランスを崩すことで、新たな”カワイイ”を生み出した。
他にも、牡丹孔雀図のような自らの画術の完璧さを誇るような作品や、絵変わり図屏風などの独特のユーモア心にあふれた作品など、芦雪ワールドを十二分に堪能できた。

I remembered visiting Kushimoto-cho a long time ago to see these two paintings.
Several adorable puppy paintings, which can be said to be Nagasawa Rosetsu's masterpieces, were also on display.
It was displayed alongside the puppy drawings of her master Okyo Maruyama, so you can clearly see the difference.
In contrast to Okyo's perfectly ``cute'' puppy, Rosetsu created a new kind of ``cuteness'' by slightly unbalanced it.
In addition, there are works that boast of the perfection of his own painting techniques, such as the peony and peacock painting, and works that are full of unique humor, such as the picture change folding screen, so you can fully enjoy the world of Rosetsu.
