個性的な建築を次々に生み出している、ヘザウィック・スタジオ展の展覧会。

ヘザウィック・スタジオのことは、ニューヨークのハドソン・ヤードを設計したスタジオということで初めて耳にした。

スタジオを創設したトーマス・ヘザウィックは1970年に英国で生まれ。

斬新なデザインが目を引くが、ヘザウィック・スタジオではデザインをする際には、その土地の歴史や伝統的なデザインを研究して、人々の共感を呼べるようなデザインを心がけているという。

安藤忠雄やフランク・ゲーリーなどのデザインは、それぞれは違っていてもそこに共通する要素が感じられる。

しかし、ヘザウィック・スタジオのデザインは、上記のコンセプトのせいか、同じスタジオから生み出されたようには思えない、多様なデザインのように見えた。
