実験工房の造形（千葉市美術館） Art works of Jikken Kobo (Chiba City Museum of Art)

実験工房は、瀧口修造の元に集まった若い芸術家たちによる芸術グループ。

瀧口修造によって命名されて、1951年から1957年にかけて主に活動した。

音楽家の武満徹や湯浅譲治、画家の北代省三や山口勝弘、版画家の駒井哲郎、写真家の大辻清司などがメンバーとしており、展覧会の他にも、舞台やバレエの公演など、様々な分野で作品を発表した。

千葉市美術館で、前衛写真をテーマにした企画展が行われ、瀧口修造や大辻清司が取り上げられたことから、関連企画展として、二人が関係していた実験工房についての企画展も同時に開催された。

展覧会ということで、どうしても絵画作品や立体のオブジェなどの作品の展示が中心で、舞台公演などは小さな画面での映像公開などに留まっていた。

実験工房の本来の姿は、そうした公演活動の方にあったと思うので、少し寂しい内容の展覧会ではあった。

しかしながら、実験工房のことが紹介される機会は、それほど多くないので、こうした展覧会はこれからもどこかで企画してほしい。

Jikken Kobo is an art group of young artists gathered under Shuzo Takiguchi.

Named by Shuzo Takiguchi, it was mainly active from 1951 to 1957.

Its members include musicians Toru Takemitsu and Joji Yuasa, painters Shozo Kitadai and Katsuhiro Yamaguchi, printmaker Tetsuro Komai, and photographer Seiji Otsuji. He has published works in various fields.

At the Chiba City Museum of Art, a special exhibition on the theme of avant-garde photography was held, and Shuzo Takiguchi and Seiji Otsuji were featured. was done.

Since it was an exhibition, the focus was on paintings and three-dimensional objects, and stage performances were limited to showing images on small screens.

I believe that the original form of Jikken Kobo was for such performance activities, so the exhibition was a bit lonely.

However, there are not many opportunities to introduce Jikken Kobo, so I would like to see more exhibitions like this at some point in the future.
