王羲之と蘭亭序（東京国立美術館） Wang Xizhi and Ranteijo (Tokyo National Museum)

 

恒例となっている、書道博物館と東京国立博物館の共同企画。今回は、王羲之と蘭亭序がテーマだった。

書道博物館では同博物館のコレクションの他に五島美術館、三井記念美術館などからの作品も展示されていた。一方こちらの東京国立博物館では、主に同博物館の収蔵品が中心だった。

王羲之の蘭亭序は、唐太宗が深く愛して自らの墓に収めてしまったこともあり神格化し、後世多くの人がその拓本を求め、臨書され、あるいはそれをテーマにした絵が描かれた。

また、蘭亭序に見られるような文人たちの集いは雅集と呼ばれ、仇英らによって西園雅集や竹林七賢なども盛んにそれを主題にした絵が描かれてきた。

この展覧会では、そうした蘭亭序を中心とした書画の伝統を様々な作品によって知ることができた。

A joint project between the Calligraphy Museum and the Tokyo National Museum, which has become an annual event. This time, the theme was Wang Xizhi and Lanting Cho.

At the calligraphy museum, in addition to the museum's collection, works from the Gotoh Museum and the Mitsui Memorial Museum were also on display. On the other hand, here at the Tokyo National Museum, the focus was mainly on the collection of the same museum.

Wang Xizhi's Ranteijo was deified by Tang Taizong, who loved it so much that he kept it in his tomb.

In addition, gatherings of literary figures, such as those seen in Ranteijo, are called 'gashu', and paintings on the theme of Nishizono's gashu and Shichiken Chikubayashi have been actively drawn by Kouei and others.

In this exhibition, we were able to learn about the tradition of calligraphy and painting centered on Ranteijo through various works.
