この美術館は江上波夫のコレクションがその基盤になっている。
その江上波夫の没後20年を記念しての展覧会。膨大なコレクションの中から、未公開資料を中心に地域ごとに分けて展示されていた。
江上波夫の名を初めて知ったのは、ベストセラーになった騎馬民族制服王朝説を紹介した本だった。
当時は江上波夫のことを日本古代史の研究者かと思ったが、この美術館などを通じて多くの発見や研究を成し遂げた偉大な東洋学者であることを知った。
江上波夫は、チンギス・ハーンと深い関係があった内モンゴルのオングト族の都オロンスムに、カトリック教の教会があったことを発見するなどの、数多くの業績を残した。
そうした多くの調査から発見された品々を眺めていると、否応なく自分の心は壮大な歴史のロマンに導かれる。
他にもかつてのエデンの園があった場所で作られた美しい織物や、泉州の開元寺に伝わるヒンドゥー教の拓本も印象に残った。
ユーラシア文化館の展示会場はそれほど広くはないが、そこには雄大なユーラシアの大平原が確かに広がっていた。

The first time I learned the name of Namio Egami was from a best-selling book that introduced the theory of the Equestrian Equestrian Uniform Dynasty.
At that time, I thought that Namio Egami was a researcher of ancient Japanese history, but through this museum and other places, I learned that he was a great orientalist who made many discoveries and research.
Namio Egami left behind many achievements, such as discovering that there was a Catholic church in Oronsum, the capital of the Ongut tribe in Inner Mongolia, who had a close relationship with Genghis Khan.
When I look at the items discovered from these many investigations, my heart is inevitably led to a magnificent historical romance.
I was also impressed by the beautiful textiles made in the site of the former Garden of Eden and the Hindu rubbings handed down at Kaiyuan Temple in Quanzhou.
The exhibition hall of the Eurasian Culture Museum is not so large, but there was certainly a magnificent Eurasian plain spread out there.
