栃木県立博物館で行われたユニークな名前の展覧会。

常設展の一画に、20点に満たない数の作品が展示されたのみの小規模なテーマ展だった。

しかし、展示されていた作品の中に、蘭亭曲水図などがあると知って、宇都宮の地に足を伸ばした。

同時に、東京国立博物館と書道美術館の共催で、王羲之と蘭亭序展が行われていた。

その展覧会で、蘭亭曲水図や西園雅集図、竹林賢人図などの様々ないわゆる雅集が展示されていた。

この栃木県立博物館で展示されていたのは、谷文晁派と地元にゆかりの高久靄厓らの作品だったが、トーハクで展示されていた仇英ら中国の絵師らの雅集との違いを楽しむことができた。
