旅する、大蔵経（金沢文庫） Traveling Tripitaka (Kanazawa Bunko Museum)

 

金沢文庫に隣接する称名寺には、かつては立派な経蔵があり、そこには南宋時代に出版された大蔵経が収めらていた。

その貴重な経典の数々を展示するという貴重な機会に金沢文庫を訪れることができた。

金沢文庫文書は全て国宝だが、それらの大蔵経は称名寺に伝わっていたため、厳密には金沢文庫文書文書の一部ではなく、そのせいか全て重要文化財扱いだった。

そうした大蔵経の多くは、インドから三蔵法師などによって持たされて、中国の地で中国語に翻訳されたものだった。

あまりに膨大であったために、順次漢訳されていったが、その順番は必ずしも元の経典が書かれた順ではなく、翻訳した人が必要と感じたものからだったという。

これまで様々な書物で理解してきた仏教の思想や歴史。そのオリジナルが目の前に陳列されていることに、なんとも感無量な思いだった。

Adjacent to Kanazawa Bunko, Shomyoji Temple has a splendid sutra storehouse, which contains the Daizokyo published during the Southern Song Dynasty.

I was able to visit the Kanazawa Bunko on the rare occasion of exhibiting a number of these precious scriptures.

All of the Kanazawa Bunko documents are national treasures, but since they were handed down to Shomyo-ji Temple, strictly speaking they were not part of the Kanazawa Bunko documents, and perhaps for that reason they were all treated as important cultural properties.

Many of these treasury sutras were brought from India by Sanzo Hoshi and others and translated into Chinese in China.

Because it was so large, it was translated into Chinese one after another, but it is said that the order was not necessarily the order in which the original scriptures were written.

The thought and history of Buddhism that I have understood in various books so far. I was deeply moved by the fact that the original was displayed in front of me.
